Today is my second son’s 16th birthday. That time has gone so quickly – my kids are getting so big now. I think with kids you have to enjoy the moment because all too soon they are grown up. The worst thing is you can’t go back.
Before I started this journey I didn’t think that there was a way out. It was like I was heading in the wrong direction with nowhere to do a U-turn and head the other way.
Sometimes when I think back I can’t believe how I was. I can’t believe I thought there was nothing I could do to lose weight. I can’t believe the thoughts that I had of no hope.
Now that I have been going almost a year on this journey my thoughts are the same that there is no way I am going to do another U-turn.
This time though it’s a positive thing rather than me thinking that there’s no hope and I am definitely heading in the right direction.
So if you feel you are in a place of no hope and that there is no way out, there is always a place for a U-turn.
